Start by unplugging your air compressor. Unscrew the housing unit and remove it. Disconnect the sets of wires that run between your pressure switch and the terminal block. Watch out for blue or brown wires. Leave the black-and-white wires connected since they power the switch and can be difficult to replace.Air compressor just wont build pressure to the 135 like it is supposed to. Friggin annoying. Now i am considering going outside of the 'safe' zone and am wondering if i can change the cut off pressure to be 100-105 psi, and cut in pressure to be 90 psi.Check this by removing the line that runs from the pump to the tank and using your hand to prevent the airflow out of the pump while it is running. Anyhow both primary and secondary won't build past 30psi now and the purge valve on air dryer has a constant flow of air from it..The system will build up to 30psi and hold right there. If I pump the brakes, pressure drops and builds back to 30 psi. When I shut the engine down, it will slowly drain all air from the red tank out of the governor exhaust port. Blocked off lines going to air reel, amu and rear brakes, bypassed dryer and still no pressure build up.The governor controls the air pressure. It gets its air signal from an air tank thru a thin, 1/4 line. If that line is leaking, the governor will not work. It could be hard to hear because the small tank it connects to will drain quickly and has no gauge. You need to get the pressure up, shut down the engine, and quickly listen for any leak ...Oct 7, 2015 · 1999 international 4900 DT466e I cannot seem to get my air compressor to build air.
